SPACE AFFAIRS EXPEDITION BAIKONUR COSMODROME SOYUZ MS-10 - 7 DAYS
Lift-Off: September 14, 2018 (TBD)
We have compiled a short tour that takes you only to Baikonur to participate in the events surrounding the lift off of the Soyuz rocket. This trip is more in the smaller budget than our VIP tour, but we want to give everyone interested the opportunity to participate in this event. Of course, and that is out of question, you get the usual quality and support from Space Affairs.
The tour is for single travelers, as well as for groups of up to 20 people. Booking is possible for this tour up to July 14, 2018. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at any time.
Mission Day 1:
Arrival in Moscow, airport Sheremetyevo International or Domodedevo Airport. Transfer to the airport hotel. One night in the airport hotel.
Mission Day 2:
Pickup at the airport hotel, transfer to the departure airport for the flight from Moscow to Baikonur, Kazakhstan (Departure airport in Moscow TBD). Meeting with the guides at Baikonur at the airport, transportation to the hotel "Sputnik", Check in Hotel, Dinner at the hotel.
Mission Day 3:
Early in the morning, participation at "roll out" of the Soyuz Rocket at the Soyuz Integration hall. After this accompanying the rocket on the railway to the "Gagarinsky" launchpad. Breakfast in the morning with lunch packets.
Participation in the launch preparations on the launch pad Gagarinsky. Visit to the Baikonur museum, Space Shuttle "Buran", Korolev and Gagarin Cottages. Visiting the Soyuz Integration Hall, lunch at Baikonur. Visiting Energia-Buran launch pad and the Nedelin-Monument launchpad, transportation back to the hotel, dinner in the hotel, free time.
Mission Day 4:
Breakfast in the hotel. Transportation to the Cosmonauts hotel. Participation at the international press-conference with main and back-up crew of Soyuz MS-10. Visiting the "Avenue of the Cosmonauts". Visiting the historic museum of the Baikonur Cosmodrome. Bus tour around the city. Lunch at Baikonur.Visiting the central market. Dinner in the evening in the hotel.
Mission Day 5:
Big city tour of Baikonur with Baikonur Museum and Internatioinal Space School. Lunch in Baikonur, Dinner in a special restaurant nearby the Hotel "Baikonur". At around 8:00 p.m. visiting the Cosmonaut hotel, seeing the leaving of the cosmonauts to the launch complex with busses. Transportation to the Energia complex to attend the ceremony "Ready to go" by the cosmonauts. Transportation by bus to the main observation point for the lift-off of Soyuz MS-06.
Mission Day 6:
Since the Soyuz spacecraft is digital equipped and flying autonomous from mission control, it will be always a night launch. Shortly after midnight transportation to the observation gantry, following the launch procedures on the pad in a distance of 1,5 kilometres. Between 2:00 a.m and 3:00 a.m. watching the launch of Soyuz. You can watch the Soyuz ascent to space a long time (depending on weather). Soyuz launches are very special.
After or before the launch we will visit the Baikonur museum nearby the launchpad. In front of the museum there is also a 1:1 mock-up of the soviet space shuttle "Buran", where you can get in! Afterwards transportation back to the hotel Sputnik, short rest. 5;30 hours after the launch, transportation to the Baikonur Town Hall to participate live on the docking of your Soyuz Mission at the International Space Station (according to the mission schedule). Afterwards lunch in the Hotel, check-out, transportation to the Krainy airport and backflight to Moscow. Arrival at the airport, Transfer to your departure airport, 1 night in the airport hotel.

For immigration to Russia you need a double-entry visa, for Kazakhstan a normal single tourist visa is necessary. Your passport must have a validity of 6 months at the day of the entrance. Vouchers & invitations you will receive from Space Affairs.

Attention: Bookings can be done until +60 days before the predicted launch date by transmitting your personal data. We will put you on an expedition list and only when a date is confirmed we do contracts and bookings.
Attention Germany: Germany's ESA astronaut Alexander Gerst will fly to space second time with Soyuz MS-09 in June 2018! If you want to be on the expedition participant list, reserve your slot soon!
